Midnight’s first +24 has Mythic+ players eyeing the ceiling
The run landed before Blizzard's May 19 crest-cap hotfix, and Patch 12.0.7 will raise the bar again with Sporefall.

World of Warcraft’s Midnight Season 1 has already produced a new Mythic+ marker, as a group timed a +24 Maisara Caverns run before Blizzard’s May 19 hotfix removed upgrade crest caps. The record landed while crest gains were still capped, which leaves even more room for the top end to move.
It is also the highest regular-season key completed since the Mythic+ rescale in Dragonflight Season 4, ignoring pre-patch windows. Put the recent seasons side by side and the climb is easy to see.
| Season | Highest key completed |
|---|---|
| Dragonflight Season 4 | +23 |
| The War Within Season 1 | +20 |
| The War Within Season 2 | +22 |
| The War Within Season 3 | +23 |
| Midnight Season 1 | +24 |
Blizzard’s next raid, Sporefall in Patch 12.0.7, will raise the bar again. The raid will drop Myth-track pieces up to item level 298, so the current record may not stay alone for long if the same pace continues.
That is where the tuning debate really starts. A +25 clear in Season 1 would already push the ceiling higher than many expected, and if Midnight follows the same curve as The War Within, later seasons could go even further.
Midnight’s Mythic+ ladder is already giving players plenty to talk about, and the next few weeks should show whether +24 is a stopping point or just the next rung up. Tell us what you think in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
