Blizzard applied three small but important Midnight pre-patch hotfixes on February 12, 2026. The update addresses accidental PvP flagging caused by some abilities, restores the Harvesting Hatchet so players can relearn the Find Lumber ability, and fixes World Quest gold rewards that were failing to award properly.
The involuntary PvP flag issue could mark players as PvP-enabled when using specific spells, which created unexpected player-versus-player encounters for some. The hotfix calls out examples by name, including Mage’s Ice Lance and Rogue’s Secret Technique.
The Harvesting Hatchet is once again available for purchase from neighborhood lumberjacks so players can learn the Find Lumber ability. Separately, a bug that prevented some World Quests from giving gold as intended has been corrected, and players report event and World Quest gold rewards returning to TWW.
