Metroid Prime 4 revealed by Nintendo, coming out in 2025

Nintendo has just dropped some massive news that’s got the whole world excited. Metroid Prime 4 is officially on its way, slated for a 2025 release. After years of silence, the wait is finally coming to an end, and I couldn’t be more excited, too.

In 2017, Nintendo gave us a tiny taste of Metroid Prime 4 during E3. That 43-second teaser with the iconic ‘4’ symbol left us all hyped and hungry for more. Then, poof! Nintendo went dark on us. No updates, no sneak peeks, literally nothing. It felt like the game had fallen into a black hole.

Fast forward to this week’s Nintendo Direct, and they finally hit us with the goods. The new trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond shows our favorite bounty hunter, Samus Aran, gearing up for another epic adventure. The visuals? Stunning. The hype? Off the charts. The release date, 2025 – is now marked on every Metroid fan’s calendar.

Why the long wait, you ask? Well, back in 2019, Nintendo dropped a bombshell. They revealed that development was being completely restarted. The project was moved from an undisclosed team to Retro Studios, the masterminds behind the original Prime series. Starting over from scratch was a tough pill to swallow, but knowing Retro Studios is back in the driver’s seat is quite reassuring.

So, what now? We wait. Patiently. Or not so patiently. But at least we finally know Metroid Prime 4 is real and it’s coming. The next year and a half will be filled with speculation, theories, and hopefully more sneak peeks from Nintendo.

I don’t know about you, but I’m beyond ready for this. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has the potential to be a game-changer, and I trust Retro Studios to deliver. Let’s keep the hype train rolling and countdown to 2025 together.
