Niantic posted reimbursement details after widespread server problems disrupted the Mega Rayquaza Raid Day on October 18, 2025. Trainers around the world reported loading screens, “Failed to get data from server” errors, and broken Gym interactions during the event. Players quickly asked for a make-up day or extra raids, but Niantic instead published a set of reimbursement rules on its Help site.
What Niantic is reimbursing
- Free Raid Passes used were reimbursed as Premium Battle Passes.
 - Remote Raid Passes were reimbursed as-is.
 - If your Item Bag was at or over capacity, Raid Passes were reimbursed anyway.
 - Child accounts logged in through Niantic Kids or Pokémon Trainer Club are not eligible for automatic reimbursement; affected trainers should contact support if they were impacted.

Many players expected an additional raid day or bonus raids after the outages rather than simple pass refunds, and that disappointment has shown up across community channels. This isn’t the first time Mega Rayquaza events have had problems. Did you lose passes or get locked out during the raid day, and do you think the reimbursements are fair? Please share your experience below so other trainers know what happened and how Niantic handled it.
