Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 Will Start August 7, 2026, With The Hood and New Events

Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 will begin on August 7, 2026, giving the live-service shooter a five-week mid-season split led by a new Vanguard and several returning events.

The update follows the Season 9 launch, which added Jubilee, reworked Black Widow, and overhauled the Team-Up system.

What Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 Will Add

The Hood will be the main addition when Season 9.5 begins. Parker Robbins will join the roster as a gun-wielding Vanguard who uses the Oblivion Cloak to channel dark energy and enter a demonic state. His Ultimate is called Gun Devil.

NetEase will also apply a series of hero buffs and nerfs at the start of the season. The balance changes are only part of the schedule, with new and returning events filling out the weeks that follow.

Events and Cosmetics on the Schedule

The first event will be Creed of Akkaba. The following week will bring the second wave of Summer Swimsuit skins through the Krakoan Reels Vol. 2 event.

Black Cat, Winter Soldier, and Star Lord swimsuits will be available through Krakoan Reels Vol. 2. Two of those cosmetics may be limited to the Premium edition, though the roadmap does not identify which ones.

The roadmap schedules weekly content from August 7 through September 11. The full schedule appears in Marvel Rivals’ official roadmap announcement.

The August 7 wave also includes a store bundle built around The Hood, Black Bolt, Iron Fist, and Moon Knight. Silent Blackout, Furious Flow, and Fist of Khonshu are among the associated looks named on the schedule.

On August 14, Scarlet Witch, Magik, and Storm will receive Swimsuit Special costumes. The August 21 wave will give Black Widow the Aquatic Assassin costume and new visual effects for her Ultimate, while Cyclops and Phoenix will receive Hellfire Gala costumes and Daredevil will get the Attorney at Law costume.

The August 28 cosmetics include Van Dyne Designs for Peni Parker, Queen of Hell for Squirrel Girl, and a Clan Akkaba costume for Cloak.

The final major content wave on the roadmap is scheduled for September 4. It will include an X-Men ’97 Season 2 collaboration costume along with Ultron’s Street Style costume. The roadmap does not identify which character will receive the X-Men ’97 look.

September 11 is the final date shown for Season 9.5 content. Rather than provide a full Season 10.0 launch schedule, the roadmap marks that date for a teaser. Details about the next season’s hero, battle pass, map changes, and events have not been provided.

Season 9.5 Twitch Drops Will Include Elsa Bloodstone

Season 9.5 will also feature Twitch Drops. The official rewards announcement lists a spray, emote, nameplate, and an Elsa Bloodstone costume for viewers who watch participating streams.
