Season 4.5 of Marvel Rivals lands on October 10, bringing Daredevil to the roster and a handful of team-up ability changes that will affect matchups and party composition. The update also serves as a beta for cross-progression ahead of the feature’s full arrival in Season 5. The developer preview was released during the latest Dev Vision episode, so some specifics are still being finalized.

A new chapter unfolds in Marvel Rivals! As Season 4.5 begins on October 10 UTC, Creative Director Guangguang reveals what lies ahead in Dev Vision Vol. 10.

What changed

The patch introduces two new team-up abilities, tweaks one existing team-up by moving Namor, and removes a single team-up entirely. Details beyond the pairings are currently listed as TBC, with a fuller pre-season launch blog promised.

New team-up abilities

Two new team-up abilities are being added in Season 4.5. Daredevil pairs with The Punisher for the Bestial Hunt team-up, while Hela teams with Namor for Deep Wrath. Exact in-match effects are listed as details to come.

Adjusted team-up abilities

There’s one adjustment in Season 4.5. Namor has been removed from the Gamma Charge team-up to join Hela for Deep Wrath. That leaves Gamma Charge consisting of just Hulk and Black Panther.

Removed team-up abilities

Only one team-up is being removed, echoing the earlier Season 4 reshuffle. Ragnarok Rebirth, which paired Hela and Thor, has been removed. Hela is moved into the new Deep Wrath team-up, while Thor does not receive a replacement team-up at this time.

These tweaks matter to anyone who cares about team-up synergies, particularly Daredevil owners and players who used Namor in Gamma Charge. Drop your hot takes in the comments, and follow us on X and Bluesky.
