NetEase released a September 18 patch for Marvel Rivals, which kicks off Summer Special Vol. 2, introduces seasonal cosmetics, adds chat channel color and exceptional character support, expands Replay Data with extra hero stats, and applies a set of bug fixes across platforms. Consoles will see the download labeled update 1.000.045.

Summer Special Vol. 2 returns with new seasonal rewards and missions. Leveling the event unlocks free items such as The Thing – Rocky Tide. Upgrade to the Premium Edition for permanent access and more exclusive cosmetics, including Mantis – Oceanic Harmony and Human Torch – Sunny Sizzler costumes. Limited-Time Event: September 18th, 2025, at 9:00:00 (UTC) to October 17th, 2025, at 9:00:00.

Heroes
- Loki’s Mischievous Metamorphosis: Fixed a bug where, if Loki used his Ultimate Ability to transform into a costumed Adam Warlock and was KO’d and revived via Regenerative Cocoon, he would come back wearing Adam’s default costume.
- Ultron’s Palm Pilot Precision: Tweaked the starting points for Ultron’s Encephalo-Ray and Nano-Ray attacks so they now fire from his palm as intended.
- Luna Snow’s Dance Upgrade: Polished the animation for Luna Snow’s Ultimate Ability. Her moves are now smoother. Luna’s Cool Summer Costume will be fixed in the next patch so the animation aligns with the center of her jellyfish.

- Fixed rare performance drops and screen tearing on PS5.
