Marvel Rivals is about to shift gears with Season 3 coming soon, and NetEase has just put out an updated hero hot list that tells us who’s dominating and who’s struggling. It’s a handy snapshot for anyone looking to squeeze out a few more wins before the new season kicks off.
The list ranks every hero by pick rate and win rate, and while some names have been fixtures for a while, there are a few surprises. Unsurprisingly, Ultron tops the pick rate charts, fresh off his addition to the roster. Following him are Jeff the Land Shark, Emma Frost, Magneto, and Cloak and Dagger. These picks make sense given their strong abilities—Emma Frost’s ult-cancelling choke hold, Magneto’s central shield, and Cloak and Dagger’s healing prowess all keep them relevant. And Jeff? Well, he’s just a charming little guy you can’t help but like.
At the other end, heroes like Iron Fist, Wolverine, and Psylocke are still getting the short end of the stick. Their pick rates remain low, likely because the recent buffs to Strategists after the Support Strike have shifted the meta. Honestly, I’m not too upset about that change.
Now, popularity isn’t everything. The key statistic to watch is the win rate. Sitting comfortably at the top with a 56.89% win rate is none other than Rocket Raccoon. Rocket’s buffed ultimate, which now boosts damage and heals allies nearby, makes him a tough nut to crack. Plus, his ability to scamper up walls and dodge enemies keeps him elusive in fights.
Right behind Rocket are Peni Parker, Mister Fantastic, Ultron, and Mantis, all boasting win rates above 50%. Oddly, apart from Ultron, these heroes don’t get picked much. That might be because they demand a higher skill level and more precise playstyles, so only the more experienced players tend to use them.
One shocker: Luna Snow ranks near the bottom with a 45.58% win rate despite a decent pick rate of 8.58%. I main her myself and have always found her dependable for crowd control and healing, so it’s surprising to see her struggling in the current meta.
Things are bound to change fast, though. Season 3 will introduce new heroes like Blade and Phoenix, along with a slew of buffs and nerfs that could disrupt this list entirely. Curious to see if the Support heroes will keep their momentum or if they will claw their way back.
