A balance patch for Marvel Rivals from NetEase has dramatically changed Scarlet Witch’s ultimate, weeks before Season 4 launches. The update, published on Steam as a balance patch, boosts her ultimate damage to 9,999 and widens its effect a week out.
Devs pulled together a set of nerfs that hit Loki, Squirrel Girl, Psylocke, Black Panther, Emma Frost, Captain America, and Luna Snow, while Doctor Strange and Magik received mixed adjustments. Ultron, Mantis, Jeff the Land Shark, and Invisible Woman received meaningful buffs; Ultron deals more damage and Mantis picked up a decisive movement speed increase. Peni Parker and Thor saw upgrades among Vanguards, and Duelists such as Blade, Moon Knight, Winter Soldier, and Scarlet Witch were given targeted changes. Chaos incoming.
The patch text calls out Wanda specifically: “Wanda’s survivability and Ultimate are getting a magical upgrade,” the patch notes say. It goes on to state that “Mystic Projection and her ultimate Reality Erasure now deals 9,999 damage, up from 800, so just a little 1149.88% increase, nothing special.”

The ultimate’s cast now pulls enemies within a 15m radius, and the max pull speed is 2.4m/s, which should make a charged Reality Erasure feel much more oppressive in clustered fights. With Season 4 arriving in about a week, teams may have to rethink ultimate economy and positioning because a single Reality Erasure could swing an entire objective fight before opponents react. The timing is awkward for competitive play; balance shifts that large usually take longer to land in ranked modes. Expect some heated matches while players sort out counters and priority targets.
