Blizzard has just dropped a health nerf on The Soul Hunters, the fifth boss in Manaforge: Omega, after top guild Liquid couldn’t quite finish the fight. This boss has been a real pain, with the team getting dangerously close but always hitting the enrage timer and wiping around 15-20% health left. The nerf might finally tip the scales.
Liquid has been pushing hard, putting in 19 pulls and bringing The Soul Hunters down to about 13% health at best. Players do manage to survive a bit into the enrage phase, with tanks holding on for nearly half a minute. But that last stretch has been brutal, killing the raid quickly and forcing wipes.
Check out Liquid’s recent clutch attempt where they almost made it past the enrage point:
And here’s the full pull for the full experience:
So what’s the nerf? Blizzard cut all bosses’ health by 7%. It’s not as dramatic as the earlier massive nerf on the fourth boss, but it’s still a decent cut. Will Liquid’s 5-healer strategy finally break through? That’s the big question. Blizzard’s approach seems to be keeping these later bosses tough enough to prevent quick clears, but not impossible.
Also, a fun thought: the first kill on this Demon Hunter-themed boss might hint at that rumored third void spec for Demon Hunters? Maybe, maybe not. Guess we’ll see if that theory holds any water.
What do you think? Will this nerf be enough for Liquid or another guild to finally down The Soul Hunters?
