Indiana Jones and the Great Circle developer MachineGames says it welcomes player feedback to refine rough edges, but it will remain firm on the game’s main direction. Creative director Axel Torvenius explained that the team listens for things that feel clumsy or unfinished and will address them where practical.
Torvenius used words like “are always keen to hear feedback” and “always listening” when describing how the studio treats community notes. He suggested that comments that point out what is “bulky or unpolished” often lead to changes that improve everyday play experiences.
The team seems open to fixes that make the play smoother – minor problems like menus feeling a little wonky or sections that don’t flow well. “Yeah, if there are things that we can address to make the experience better, of course, we’ll do it,” Torvenius said, indicating a clear line between polish work and bigger creative choices.
The studio also wants to maintain a strong sense of authorship. Torvenius described MachineGames as having a fairly firm vision – not just visually, but for the story and the kind of game they want to make. “Yeah, but no thanks, because we already have an excellent idea that we believe in,” he said about requests that would change the game’s direction.
Indy’s story will continue beyond the base game – the Order of the Giants expansion is set to release on September 4, and Torvenius said community feedback helped the team refine certain parts ahead of that launch.
