Today Lost Soul Aside arrives on consoles and PC with a free playable demo, published on August 29, 2025. The post doesn’t list a developer explicitly, but it appears under the PlayStation blog as the official launch announcement.

The live post states that the full game is now available and that a demo is downloadable on the same day. You can play on PlayStation 5 or on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store; the blog post links to the official details.

The original announcement includes two short trailers that showcase combat pacing and boss encounters.

The demo is designed to showcase early- and mid-game combat loops, including weapon switching, aerial chains, and at least one boss fight. It gives a quick taste of the systems without spoiling the whole adventure, so it’s a decent sampler if you want to test responsiveness and control feel first.

Core demo highlights in plain terms:

  • Seamless weapon switching – swap between a quick sword and a heavy greatsword for combo variety.
  • Aerial combat – launch enemies and keep hits going while they’re in the air.
  • Boss encounters – try at least one boss fight from the demo to learn dodges and counters.

Combat tips lifted from the demo notes: time your dodges and blocks, look for the blue glow that marks Burst Pursuit windows, and practice chaining attacks into air combos. Kinda feels like a rhythm when it clicks – fun, and a bit punishing at first, oh but rewarding when you land it.

The announcement also links to the official game page for platform-specific info and store pages.
