  • Update #1: Lost Ark is facing difficulties and will delay the free-to-play launch.
  • Update #2: Lost Ark is launching in two minutes, exactly at 2:15 PM PT / 10:15 PM UTC.

All deployment issues have been resolved. Our new launch timing is 2:15pm PT / 10:15 PM UTC.

Thank you for your patience as we work out these final steps. We look forward to seeing you in Arkesia!

Unfortunately, due to deployment issues, launch is delayed. We hope to have this resolved in a matter of hours.

Your patience is appreciated and we’ll update you soon.

Smilegate RPG and Amazon Games decided to shut down Lost Ark’s servers and put them to rest for approximately 4 hours before the game goes free-to-play. In an in-game message, the developer said that there would be server maintenance which downtime will be about 4 hours, and that is precisely when the servers will be open to everyone.

It’s not only the free-to-play transition the developer’s paying attention to, but instead, it’s a couple of fixes that need to be developed ahead of the launch. The exact patch notes can be found below:

  • Fixed area chat, which now will allow all players to talk to other players in a given area.
  • Fusion Material rewards from the Welcome Challenge have been increased to better support player progression.
  • Mari’s Secret Store will now display the regional server time instead of UTC.
  • Fixed quest dialog UI to avoid text overlap on certain 4K resolutions.
  • Player names will no longer be shown as “Unknown Player” in Voice Chat UI.
  • The words “Royal Crystals” and “Crystalline Aura” are now displaying in non-English languages in the Steam overlay when finalizing a transaction.
  • Fixed the title “Nightmare” which was displaying as blank.
  • World bosses now drop the proper gear for the Martial Artist classes.
  • Added an option for Voice Over on the Character Selection screen.
  • Sorceress audio now plays when playing in a non-English language.
  • All classes now have audio when using voices 2, 3, or 4 in a non-English language.
  • VO is now present in the “Stronghold Ceremony” quest cinematic.
  • VO has been added for Kazeros in the “With Gratitude” quest cinematic.

Lost Ark had quite a surprising timeline. In just three days of playing, the game noticed quite a high population. Today, we’ll finally see how many people would join this beautiful MMOARPG sensation and compile the complete numbers. Friends or family, everyone is welcome in the seek of the Lost Arks.

  • The servers are expected to come back up at 17:00 GMT, with an already available F2P session.

For those unfamiliar, Lost Ark was launched in Korea, for later to follow up with a launch in Russia. The game has established strong communities thriving up to this very date. Thanks to Amazon Games, the Western Region of the world had the opportunity to set a foothold in this isometric 2.5D fantasy massively multiplayer online action role-playing game.

The game peaked at 500,000 concurrent users in the past 3 days, and with the new wave, we all expect to see a seven-figure number.
