CI Games revealed the first gameplay trailer for Lords of the Fallen II at The Game Awards 2025, showing three large boss fights, several smaller enemies, and expanded combat animations. The trailer is available now and gives a look at three named bosses: the Heartroot Warden, Koydreth, and Lingao, the Souring Storm. It also highlights smaller foes such as the Ashen Skin Stealer, the Man of Letters, and the Hysteric, each presented with distinct attack behaviors and visual designs.
The Heartroot Warden appears as a heavy, chain-wrapped guardian wielding a greatsword and telegraphing powerful, committed strikes. Koydreth shows up as a winged former leader of the Crescent Host who fights from the air with quick transitions. Lingao fills the screen as a draconic force that commands wind and lightning while attacking from multiple vectors.
CI Games framed enemy design around Axiom’s lore, tying each creature to local histories and tragic rites. The footage alternates cinematic moments with arena-style encounters to emphasize both story-led scenes and combat pacing. Alongside the trailer, CI Games released Version 2.5 for Lords of the Fallen (2023). That patch adds a new Veteran Mode and broad behavior updates for bosses, minibosses, and enemies across Mournstead, including new boss weapon animations and altered attack chains. Console PC Gaming has more on the 2.5 update and our earlier TGA gameplay trailer coverage.
CI Games says Lords of the Fallen II will launch in 2026 and positions the sequel as a darker, more demanding sequel with refined combat and larger boss encounters.
