League of Legends gets its final update of the year with Patch 25.24 on Dec. 3, 2025, a small but focused balance patch that also slips a handful of winter-themed skins into the shop. The patch is rolling out on the usual Wednesday schedule, with Riot’s typical regional timing; expect the update around 3pm CT for North America, 5am GMT for EU West, 3am CET for EU North East, and 8am KR for Korea.
The patch centers on champion balance: a mix of defensive and damage buffs for underperforming picks and nerfs aimed at some of the more dominant or slippery champions. Riot also ships several skins, including pirate-themed pieces like Sunken Shadows Nami and Sunken Shadows Lucian, plus holiday items such as Winter Wonder Zeri, Winter Wonder Milio, Reindeer Smolder, and Prestige Winterblessed Mel. For historical context on Riot’s approach to end-of-year patches, see our earlier coverage of LoL Patch 25.17, which handled a larger mix of changes and a visual update for Xin Zhao.
On the competitive side, small cooldown and ratio adjustments to Sejuani give her more lane and gank pressure, while Nasus and Braum receive straightforward stat and damage upgrades. Conversely, Mel takes several reductions tied to her E ability and DoT, and Zed’s passive monster modifier is dialed back. These are the sorts of incremental shifts that aim to move specific matchups without overhauling the meta overnight.

- Maximum life steal has been increased from six to 6.75 percent.
Players should expect these changes to modestly shift some jungle and top matchups and to make a few frontliners slightly tougher to dislodge. Mel’s E reductions are relatively aggressive and could be the most felt change at lower ranks where her damage-over-time was harder to play around.
