Lies of P Overture DLC Unveils a Creepy Zoo with Mutant Beasts

The new Lies of P expansion features a chilling zoo level filled with mutated animal enemies.

Prepare to face some seriously twisted creatures in the upcoming Lies of P Overture DLC. The new expansion introduces a zoo level packed with mutated animals that are anything but friendly. If you thought your typical zoo visit was tame, this one flips the script entirely.

Inside the Freaky Zoo Level

According to GameSpot, the Overture expansion features a level called Krat Zoo. This isn’t your average animal park; it’s a twisted place where animals have been mutated into scary forms. Each zoo section is carefully crafted to fit different types of creatures, making the experience feel varied and intense.

Players can expect to see creatures like baboon/gorilla hybrids with tentacles sprouting from their backs, arms covered in spikes, and flames burning on their bodies. There are also freaky versions of rhinos, kangaroos, giraffes, dogs, and more, each with distinct attacks that will keep you on edge. It’s a wild mix of horror and action that surprised me — I mean, who expects a zoo to look this insane?

Last week, new info revealed that Lies of P Overture will include boss rush modes and fresh difficulty settings. The boss rush modes let you pick which boss to fight, with three difficulty levels to challenge your skills. Beat those, and you unlock two even stricter versions of the boss. Pretty intense, right?

There’s also a gauntlet-style mode where you choose a playlist of bosses to face one after another, but with limited health. It’s a brutal test of endurance and skill, and I’m excited to see how that plays out.

On a side note, the publisher behind Lies of P, Brown Dust 2, has been trending recently for some controversial reasons, so it’s something to keep an eye on. What do you think about the idea of mutant animals on a zoo level? Would you dare enter Krat Zoo?
