Lego and Pokémon are making official Lego Pokémon sets for 2026
The Pokémon Company and the Lego Group announced a collaboration to produce Lego Pokémon sets that will arrive in 2026. A teaser trailer showed yellow Lego bricks building Pikachu’s tail and then Pikachu releasing an electric attack that lit both the Lego and Pokémon logos. The first wave of sets is expected to hit shelves in 2026, though detailed set lists and prices have not been revealed.
The partnership follows years of third-party brick-built Pokémon products. Mega Bloks previously held building rights for Pokémon and produced brick figures such as Charizard and locations like Pokémon Stadium. This new agreement moves the property to Lego’s official product line and brings the two brands together under a single, licensed offering.
Julia Goldin of the Lego Group described the collaboration as a match for fans who enjoy building and Pokémon play. She said Lego looked forward to working with a brand that has a passionate fanbase and expected the line to open up new possibilities for builders. Gaku Susai from The Pokémon Company said the two brands shared values around imagination, creativity, and fun, and he hinted there would be surprises once the products arrive.
This release continues the relationship between Nintendo-linked properties and Lego. Lego has worked with Nintendo-related retro products and other gaming franchises, and the Lego Pokémon line adds the franchise to that list.
Details remain limited. The teaser provided a taste of the visual direction but did not list which Pokémon will be included, the scale of sets, or how buildable characters and environments will be handled. Lego and The Pokémon Company are expected to release full product information, images, and pricing closer to the 2026 launch window.
