The League of Legends Universe expands as Riot Games announces a beta version of Legends of Runeterra. Legends of Runeterra is a card game set in the League of Legends Universe that is heading towards a PC open beta, starting at 11 AM PT on January 24. This means that the game will most likely become a reality to everyone who strived to try it.
Legends of Runeterra has passed a couple of tests successfully and is now ready to begin a new journey. Those players who were part of the test periods will gain access a day earlier on January 23. Others who decide to pre-register on the official website before January 19 will also get access to the beta version of the game.
All of the existing accounts that had access to the game throughout the previous patches will face an account wipe. This won’t be an issue after the game enters Open Beta. Together with the open beta, there will be an introduction of Ranked Mode, a season classified as “beta season.”
The Open Beta Patch also includes a lot of new features and content, such as friend list, challenge-a-friend functionality, and new boards and guardians. Alongside that, there will be 20+ cards and a significant update to Anivia. The patch notes will arrive on January 22, so there’s that.
