League of Legends Worlds Resale Listings Reach $169,500 After July Ticket Sale

SeatGeek listings began at $1,860 even though standard tickets were priced between $113.50 and $257.05, with another ticket wave planned for the end of August.

League of Legends Worlds 2026 ticket resales are already reaching eye-watering prices. General admission sales opened on Friday, July 24, but secondary-market listings now range from $1,860 to $169,500 for the New York event.

Standard tickets reportedly cost between $113.50 and $257.05, depending on the section and seat, according to a Reddit post about the Ticketmaster prices. On SeatGeek, however, one listing climbed to $169,500. The asking price includes access to a full in-venue suite, while other resale listings include a Section 19, Row 16 seat priced at $4,374.

That gap has left many fans frustrated after missing the initial sale. The general admission window has closed, and reports from fans suggest that a large number of people who tried to buy tickets were unsuccessful.

Riot plans another ticket release

Riot Games has confirmed that more Worlds 2026 tickets will become available at the end of August. The announcement does not confirm online claims that only 450 tickets entered the general admission pool or that much of the venue remains open, but it gives fans who missed the first sale another opportunity.

LoL Esports shared the timing in an official post, though Riot has not provided a specific date or details about how the next release will work.

The resale prices have also renewed concerns about how ticket bots and scalpers are handled. One possible approach would be stronger buyer verification, such as requiring an established League of Legends account or limiting purchases to accounts created before a set date. Those measures could reduce the number of people competing for tickets, although they would also affect fans who do not regularly play the game.

For now, the $169,500 listing is an asking price rather than proof that a ticket has sold for that amount. Still, the difference between the original prices and the secondary-market listings shows how difficult it has been for ordinary fans to secure seats for Worlds.
