What a night it was for the world of esports! In a dazzling display of talent and determination, League of Legends has snagged three impressive awards at The Game Awards this year. It’s as if the universe aligned right after that unforgettable World Championship. Did anyone really think it would go any other way?

League of Legends took home the Esports Game of the Year title, while T1 earned its place as Esports Organisation of the Year. And let’s not forget about Faker, who was officially crowned Best Esports Athlete of the Year! If you’re like me and have been following these legends, you probably felt a swell of pride watching them shine.

The League of Legends World Championship was spectacular this past year. If you missed it, I can’t even begin to describe how exhilarating it was!

From breaking viewership records to hosting what many call the best opening ceremony ever at London’s O2 Arena, it set a new standard for esports events. Millions tuned in to witness T1 clinch its fifth world championship title. Talk about an adrenaline rush!

This event has raised the bar high for all future tournaments worldwide. Organizers everywhere should take notes because this is how it’s done.

It’s been quite a busy year in esports overall, but honestly? I can’t think of more deserving winners for these awards. They’ve worked hard and shown us what dedication looks like.
