Team Ninja rolled out the latest patch for Rise of the Ronin, designated as Patch 1.09.0.2, on March 25th. This update introduces a major new feature—an option to choose between “Prioritize Graphics” and “Prioritize FPS”—alongside a range of optimizations aimed at improving gameplay stability and performance.
The newly added “Graphics Mode” allows players more control over their gaming experience. By selecting “Prioritize FPS,” users can expect the game to automatically modify graphics settings if performance dips, which is particularly useful during intense gameplay moments.
This patch also includes various optimization adjustments intended to alleviate frame rate drops caused by demanding graphics settings, promising smoother performance overall. Several bugs have been addressed, including improvements to loading times during cutscenes and fixes for crashes previously experienced under certain conditions.
However, some players may find it disappointing that there’s no mention of a fix for flickering issues reported on QLED/OLED monitors. As always, Steam will download this patch automatically upon your next client launch. Below are the complete details from the changelog.
