Last Epoch has just received its 1.2.5 update, focusing on fixing a variety of bugs and polishing the player experience. From skill cooldown corrections to UI improvements and new visual options, this patch aims to smooth out rough edges that have been bothering the community.

Bug Fixes

Skills

  • Fixed a bug where cooldown recovery effects that should restore a flat amount of time were instead recovering a percentage, ignoring cooldown speed modifiers. For example, recovering 2 seconds from Teleport’s cooldown now correctly restores the full cooldown if it’s reduced to 2 seconds.
  • Corrected Rive’s visual effects when used with a two-handed weapon and shield due to Forgemaster’s Might, so it now uses one-handed effects properly.
  • Addressed an issue where Raptors could be summoned beyond the Companion Limit when skill points changed.
  • Harvest’s visuals now scale correctly with its increased area.
  • Acid Flask Traps created from extra projectiles no longer appear to float visually.
  • Fixed navigation problems that could cause players to get stuck when evading with the Flames of Midnight ring equipped.

go into Bomb Changes

  • Shadow Falcons no longer use Featherfall despite the node Birds Aren’t Real stating otherwise.
  • Primary hits of go into Bomb now provide Dusk Shroud stacks correctly when both Flock of Crows and Birds Aren’t Real are allocated.
  • Shadow Falcons summoned from On Wings of Shadow provide Dusk Shroud stacks properly.
  • The Birds Aren’t Real node was reworked: go into Bomb’s damage scales with the Falcon’s stats if summoned, or the player’s stats if not.
  • Tooltip for Birds Aren’t Real updated to reflect these changes.
  • go into Bomb no longer shows the Minion tag visually if Birds Aren’t Real is allocated but no Falcon is summoned.

Controller

  • Fixed Quick Move prompts for the Nemesis Egg Panel.
  • Resolved controller issues preventing environment interaction after defeating Aberroth.

Monolith and Dungeons

  • Chests in Monolith rest zones now give loot after Quest Echoes.
  • Majasa in the Woven Echo no longer dives into the sand but summons crystals via spellcast.
  • Discovering Tombs no longer auto-completes unrelated objectives.
  • Fixed duplicate Soulfire Bastion Dungeon objectives on the minimap.

UI

  • Loot filter numbers now refresh visually when reordered, though some visual issues remain under investigation.
  • Aligned loot filter icons correctly in settings.
  • Text inputs no longer allow rich text, displaying typed text as-is.
  • Skill node respecs now properly trigger UI notifications in multiplayer.
  • Opening the Weaver Tree no longer causes interface overlap with social panels.

Visual

  • Fixed ailment icon text wrapping when showing 999+ stacks.
  • Environment decals no longer appear on top of Heorot.
  • Corrected visual issues with Husk of the Living and Lightning Meteor VFX color.
  • Videos without audio tracks now play correctly.
  • Smoke effects no longer obscure gameplay after Torv’s Ballista use.

Other

  • Fixed a bug causing player immortality after pausing in Offline Mode under certain conditions.
  • Sentinel animation refresh bug on Character Select screen fixed.
  • Corrected affix roll ranges for Invoker’s Frozen Heart and Less Damage Taken on Block.
  • Majasa can no longer be targeted after disappearing into sand.

Improvements

Visual and Audio

  • Added an option to toggle hit visual effects.
  • Visual improvements made to the Frigid Hinterlands.
  • Menu Chapter now correctly updates to the current scene’s Chapter when changing Main Quests.

  • Changed sound effect for picking up Memory Amber.

Monoliths

  • “Open portal” button now displays correctly with Overlay Map enabled.
  • Added Corruption indicator to modifier list during Echoes.
  • Echo tooltips updated to show Echo names on hover.
  • Reduced size of reward/exit rooms in Tombs.
  • Bonus stability text updated for clarity.

UI and Input

  • The Forge no longer clears modifier slots when removing items used only with Runes of Ascendance or Weaving.
  • Bazaar, loot filters, and Stash tabs now distinguish between variants of Uniques with identical names.
  • Added stash button to Bazaar listing panel.
  • Updated Bazaar tax text for better clarity.
  • Searching abilities no longer causes glowing highlights to desync.
  • Reversed scroll direction for Stash tabs and categories to match common application behavior.
