Larian Studios will hold a Reddit AMA on January 9 at 5 a.m. PT / 8 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. CET to answer questions about how the studio is using AI while it develops its next game. The timing was confirmed on the studio’s X account and follows a promise from CEO Swen Vincke to hold a public Q&A.
The AMA was set up after Vincke said he would clear up questions about Larian’s generative AI practices in a January session. Readers can find that earlier promise in our coverage of the announcement here. Larian’s timing post is available on X on the studio’s feed.
Ask your questions about Divinity and our development process by joining our AMA, live tomorrow at 2pm CET and kindly hosted on the r/Games subreddit!

Community interest so far looks less focused on technical process and more on game details. Posters are already asking whether the next Divinity entry will use turn-based or RTWP combat, how it will sit alongside Baldur’s Gate 3, whether it will include large cinematic scenes, and how romance options will be handled. Those kinds of questions may or may not get full answers, but the AMA in r/Games is where Larian will be taking them live. The session’s early hour in North America reflects Larian’s base in Ghent, Belgium, so expect the timing to feel odd for some regions. If you want to join the conversation, head to r/Games at the scheduled time.
