Kingdom Come: Deliverance II now has its first public multiplayer mod release, with version 0.11.5 opening the project to players outside its private Discord testing group. The beta lets friends appear in each other’s games, fight together, use proximity voice chat, and play a custom dice minigame without leaving the game.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Multiplayer Mod — First Public Release (v0.11.5)

The mod is built around a clear separation between multiplayer interaction and personal progression. Each player keeps a private save, story, quest progress, and set of choices. Friends can still travel together and complete the same quest when everyone accepts it at the same time, but one player’s actions do not rewrite another player’s campaign.
What version 0.11.5 adds
Players can see one another moving through the world in real time, both on foot and while mounted. Their current armor and weapons appear on their characters, while distinct faces prevent every participant from looking like the same default model. Proximity voice chat is also part of the release.
Combat has more depth than simple character visibility. Enemies can react when a player or their friend starts a fight, and an optional setting can increase the number of nearby enemies that notice and join the battle. Player health appears on nameplates, while death follows the single-player rules: whoever dies reloads their own last save without resetting anyone else’s world.
NPC damage also travels between players’ machines rather than appearing only on the person who caused it. There is still an important limit, though. Large battles are not fully synchronized across every client, so the release does not create one perfectly shared fight with every NPC reacting identically for everyone.
The custom dice feature gives friends a live board game with hotkey-based invitations. It runs inside the mod and does not require players to alt-tab. It is not connected to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II‘s native single-player dice screen, which remains a separate technical challenge for the team.
Separate saves keep the beta from becoming a shared world
Opening an inventory or pause menu will not freeze the other players around you. Characters continue moving, with a small indicator showing when someone is in a menu. Reconnecting also removes the duplicate characters that can otherwise remain behind after a player leaves.
Those systems fit the mod’s current MMO-like structure, but shared quests, dialogue, and world state are not part of the beta. A friend’s character can also start a fight nearby even when you did not begin it, so group sessions may become chaotic quickly, especially with the wider enemy-aggro option enabled.
Requirements and beta testing
The project requires the base game and a free, separate Modding Tools download on Steam. Its installer checks for the tools and guides players through obtaining them when they are missing. The installer also includes in-app updating and version-mismatch checks.
The multiplayer project was forked from an earlier community effort with the original creator’s permission. It remains in beta and has been tested extensively in solo use as well as with one additional player. More two-player testing is still needed to find problems that may not appear in controlled sessions.
The GitHub release for version 0.11.5 contains the current build. Its creators are also seeking feedback, bug reports, feature requests, and code contributions as development continues.
