Killing Floor 3 just got a fresh patch, version 1.0.0.6, known as update 2.004. Tripwire Interactive has addressed matchmaking headaches and performance quirks, while handing out free Creds to players as a thank-you for their patience. It’s a modest but welcome relief for those stuck in matchmaking limbo or suffering framerate spikes.
What’s cool is that everyone logging in after this update will receive 500 free Creds. Kind of a nice way to say “sorry for the hassle,” right? The patch smooths out some rough edges, especially with matchmaking and server stability. South African players now get dedicated servers to reduce lag, which is a nice touch. Still, some latency issues linger even when connecting to local data centers. Tripwire says it’s still investigating this issue.
Performance tweaks focus on things like framerate spikes caused by Siren Scream Shockwaves and masked materials on foliage. Visual glitches with Zeds affected by Enfeeble and shadow rendering on large Zeds also got fixed. Plus, the Impaler’s attack effects won’t play endlessly when teams split across the map anymore.
