Team17 Digital has officially announced the release date for its highly anticipated in-house developed black comedy slasher-adventure, Killer Frequency. Set to hit Steam, Meta Quest 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox on June 1st, this first-person thriller is poised to take players on a wild ride through a small-town US radio station.
Killer Frequency is set in a Midwestern US town during the 1980s, with a serial killer on the loose. Players will step into the shoes of Forrest Nash, a washed-up DJ, and presenter of the late-night show “The Scream.” Throughout the night, Nash must help listeners and callers who a mysterious masked murderer is stalking.
To succeed in the game, players will need to interact with callers using various conversation options while listening for clues and information. They’ll also have to solve puzzles around the radio studio to prevent the killer’s grisly plans and keep the show on air with tunes inspired by the decade. The objective is to help Forrest prevent the slaughter, discover the killer’s true identity, and keep the grooves going until dawn.
