Warzone, the new battle royale sensation in CoD: Modern Warfare, is noticing a lot of cheaters. Infinity Ward is battling against them daily. For that reason, Infinity Ward has decided to take another step to prevent cheaters from having fun, and that is by adding kill camera and spectate report options. This should strengthen the trust between the players and the developers, which contribution may lead to a better tomorrow.
Shortly after a player is downed, he will be taken to a replay mode where it showcases the killing blow from opponents PoV. If any suspicion arises, players will be able to report the act. Furthermore, spectators will also have the opportunity to report if they notice something unordinary.
While it may not sound as an anti-cheat update, it may provide the developers useful info on players which actions should be reviewed, and then continue the pursuit from there.
Anti-cheat update:
Killcam & Spectate reporting functionality will go live this week in #Warzone and #ModernWarfare, adding another way for players to report suspected cheats. We have zero tolerance for cheaters.— Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) April 28, 2020
Modern Warfare is one of the smoothest Battle Royale experiences out there, and being swarmed by players, Infinity Ward has to advance the fight against hackers even further.
Some players are favoring a Cross-Play feature closure to dissolve PC players from other platforms. Somewhat an unpractical movement, and probably ignored by Infinity Ward.
