It’s always a treat when new games drop into subscription services, isn’t it? Like finding an extra cookie in the jar! Sony has just announced what’s coming to PlayStation Plus this January, and it includes some familiar faces that might make you want to grab your controller.
This month, members can look forward to titles like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. All these will be available starting January 7.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, developed by Rocksteady Studios, has had quite a journey. Initially one of last year’s most awaited titles, it faced hurdles such as a prolonged development cycle and criticism regarding its live service features. Released in February, it didn’t do well on the market—so much so that Warner Bros. took a $200 million hit. Recently, Rocksteady confirmed support for this title will be winding down.
You’ll enjoy Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered if racing is more your speed. This 2020 update of the classic 2010 racer from EA’s Criterion Games brings back high-octane action with new polish.
The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe offers something different. It’s an expanded version of a beloved indie game that first graced our screens in 2013. With its witty narration and quirky choices, it’s sure to tickle your funny bone if you haven’t tried it yet!
If you’re still wrapping up December’s offerings, including gems like It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem, check them out before they leave on January 6!
