It Takes Two is probably one of the zaniest co-op adventure games on the market, and with no doubt, has excited everyone that tried it. From boss mechanics to puzzles and a variety of mini-games, it surely bolstered a huge number of fans across the globe. Well, if you’re one of them, you should be excited even more as Josef Fares, It Takes Two’s game director, stated that the next co-op experience developed by Hazelight Studios will blow people away.
In a recent interview with Push Square, Josef Fares stated the following:
You have to understand, without spoiling, scenes like this have been in Brothers and A Way Out. Not scenes that are violent, but scenes that upset people. For instance, in the ending of A Way Out, I still today get reactions of people really upset, and say, “Why couldn’t I choose not to do it?” But that’s the whole point! You have to do it. And it’s the same thing with this game. In this scene with this beautiful little cute elephant, this is something you have to do. And you see some players almost hate the parents, like, “How could you do this?”
He continued that he’s not surprised at all about his success as he’s extremely confident in Hazelight Studios’ capability of developing a godlike video game. The studio is already working on their next video game title, which is probably going to be a co-op of a huge caliber, considering that the game will be falling in the same genre and will be similar to A Way Out It Takes Two.
His confidentiality in the successful future comes from the same interview, where he states that the next game will be even better than It Takes Two, it’s gonna be crazy.
If you ask me about our next game, I can tell you now, it will be even better than It Takes Two. It’s gonna be so crazy. That’s how sure I am, like the concept, what’s gonna happen, and people will be blown away.
