As much as we all want to see New World terminating its servers for yet another patch that would fix some of the recently revealed issues, that won’t happen. According to the forums, Amazon Games won’t release a new patch for New World due to the number of problems that have surfaced recently, which require intensive work to address them all.
One of the community managers have spoken on the forum, claiming the following:
Hey all!
We understand the desire for information regarding our plan for our next patch.
The team’s working hard to address critical issues that have popped up over the past week as well as some other changes to help optimize your game experience. Once we have those fixes locked in we will be writing and distributing the our patch notes along with our expected downtimes.
Remember to check the Official News section of the forum for the most up to date information.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Recently, New World has been plagued by a new wave of issues, exploits, and whatnot else. Outpost Rush, the only PvP game mode where players had fun, has also been disabled because players are stuck inside for a long time. All of that, combined with the enormous World Transfer feature miss, caused a fierce backlash among the community.
Other bugs such as no cooldown, infinite War Hammer stuns, endless mob spawns, mage Gatling gun bug, and others still need to be addressed. That solely puts the developers at a huge workload, so we believe Amazon Games won’t deploy its scheduled New World patch today.
