IShowSpeed just crossed a huge milestone: 41 million subscribers on YouTube. And guess what? It happened seconds after he left fellow YouTuber Daniel Labelle in the dust during a sprint race. Yup, you read that right!
Daniel Labelle, who has over 35 million subscribers, is famous for his funny running videos. He’s done everything from dragging kids’ toys down the street to racing in a Grinch suit against the Easter bunny, yeah, it’s as wild as it sounds. So when Labelle called out Speed for a race in March 2025, fans were hyped but didn’t hear back for a while.
Fast-forward to June, and Speed finally accepted the challenge. They planned a meetup, and on June 23, the showdown took place at a local high school track. Both creators have running as a big part of their content, so people were really curious who’d come out on top.
The intense race, but Speed pulled ahead, winning by several feet. Not long after crossing the finish line, he hit that 41 million subscriber mark live. “And we hit 41 million subs… Let’s go!” Speed shouted, clearly pumped. (If you want to see the race, it starts at 19:13 in the video.)
They ran a rematch minutes later, but Speed took that one too. This sprint battle is just the latest in Speed’s recent racing wins, he also beat lifestyle influencer Ashton Hall in four races earlier this month. Ashton’s known for his viral morning routine videos, so Speed’s been on a roll.
Wow, who knew YouTube races could be this intense? What do you think, could Daniel Labelle come back stronger, or is Speed too fast?
