iRacing’s newest update, 2025 Season 3 Patch 3, lands with a handful of fixes and adjustments that might seem small but actually matter a lot for the racing experience. From correcting flag displays to tuning car balance and tweaking track features, this patch aims to tidy up the ride and sharpen competition.
Patch Notes for 2025 Season 3 Patch 3 [2025.06.27.02]
Flags
- Fixed an issue where some Race Results would display a customer’s previously selected Flag instead of the Flag they had selected at the time of the event.
- Results now preserve the flag participants were flying at the time of event entry as historic data.
- This was especially noticeable for customers using the recently added flags for the countries of the United Kingdom: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
Simulation
Licenses & Official Racing
- Adjusted the distribution of iRating and ttRating values that define Division separation for all Official Racing and License Classes to improve competition.
- The initial tune at the start of 2025 Season 3 missed the mark slightly; this second adjustment aims to improve Ranked participation.
- All members will be redistributed into Divisions for all license classes based on their iRating, ttRating, and Rookie status as they were a few weeks ago during the season transition, not current values. All previous 2025 Season 3 records and stats will follow into the new Division.
Graphics
- Fixed an issue where some damp to wet tracks could show blocky patterns at dusk.
Cars
GT3 Class
- BoP tuned to improve realism.
- iRacing setups updated.
GTP Class
- Fixed brake migration issue where it was applied at half the intended value; ramping reference location adjusted.
- At 100% pedal input, brake bias equals the basic brake bias setting.
- At 0% pedal input, brake bias equals the basic brake bias plus brake migration gain.
- To adjust existing setups: halve current brake migration setting and increase brake bias forward by 1-1.25%.
- iRacing setups updated.
NASCAR Gen 4 Series
- iRacing setups updated.
Acura ARX-06 GTP
- Added brake migration adjustment to align with other GTP cars.
Dallara IR18
- Fixed an issue where incorrect car model appeared in UI images for short oval tracks.
Ferrari 499P
- Updated brake migration tooltips for clarity.
- No physics changes; setups don’t need adjustment.
[Legacy] V8 Supercar Ford FG Falcon – 2014
- Restored rear view mirror to proper place. The vandals responsible have been handed over to authorities.
Tracks
Iowa Speedway
- Track surface parameters updated slightly.
Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park
- Added missing ceiling light to main grandstand.
Shell V-Power Motorsport Park at The Bend
- Updated pace car speed for all track configurations:
- International Circuit and GT Circuit: 90 KPH
- All other configs: 80 KPH
- Restored some ARMCO outside pit road to material plane.
Watkins Glen International
- Increased gain-time penalty for cutting the Inner Loop.
Yikes, that rearview mirror fix on the Ford FG Falcon had me scratching my head last season. And the flag issue? Finally, the correct flags will show up in race results, which is a nice touch for those proud Brits waving their England or Scotland banners. The division reshuffle doesn’t mess with your current stats, thankfully, but it might shuffle some drivers into different competition pools based on earlier ratings. I wonder if this will disrupt the rankings or just tidy the chaos a bit.
Brake migration tweaks for the GTP cars probably have some drivers rubbing their hands already, adjusting setups to find that sweet spot. And hey, the graphics fix for wet tracks at dusk? Subtle but appreciated, no one wants blocky puddles ruining their immersion.
What do you think about these changes? Will the division redistribution improve your racing experience? Drop your thoughts below—I’m curious how these tweaks will play out on the track.
