After the chain of trailers released by Titan Forge Games, there has been a lot of hype surrounding the upcoming deity to SMITE – Tiamat.
Tiamat is an Ancient Babylonian Goddess, known as the primordial Goddess of the salt sea. Many sources link her with the symbol of primordial destruction and chaos. She’s often described to have the look of a dragon or a sea serpent, but most pop culture associates her with a Dragon Goddess look.
According to Hi-Rez, Tiamat will most likely have the playstyle of a bruiser, focusing on diving the backline and tanking for her main damages. She will have the ability to switch her stance while involved in combats. Switching her stance will essentially enable her to make changes to her original playstyle. Tiamat is also capable of summoning multiple monsters to aid her in battle.
There’s still no info on what class she’ll take, but it’s rumored for her to be either a Mage or a Guardian. Stay tuned for more news in the coming month, as Tiamat will make her way to the Battleground of the Gods in February 2021. We’ll definitely get more info on her abilities as well.
