Hytale has published its PC performance targets and system requirements ahead of the game’s Early Access launch on January 13, 2026, and the developer’s planned pre-orders on December 13, 2025. The published tiers break into Minimum for 1080p at 30 FPS, Recommended for 1080p at 60 FPS, and a Creator/Streamer setup aimed at stable capture and streaming at 1440p. The specs apply to 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809) and Windows 11 and are based on in-house testing across integrated GPUs, midrange laptops, and high-end recording rigs.
Minimum requirements – 1080p at 30 FPS
- OS 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809) or Windows 11
- CPU Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 (or equivalent)
- RAM 8 GB with dedicated graphics, 12 GB with integrated graphics, 8 GB for multiplayer-only
- GPU Integrated: Intel UHD Graphics 620, AMD Radeon Vega 3. Dedicated: NVIDIA GTX 900 Series, AMD Radeon 400 Series, Intel Arc A-Series
- Storage SATA SSD with 20 GB free
- Network 2 Mbit/s connection for multiplayer (UDP/QUIC compatible)
The Minimum tier is explicitly intended to hit roughly 30 to 34 FPS on some older integrated GPUs. The publisher also notes a future requirement for Vulkan 1.3 support.
Recommended requirements – 1080p at 60 FPS
- OS 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809) or Windows 11
- CPU Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (or equivalent)
- RAM 16 GB
- GPU Integrated: Intel Iris Xe Graphics, AMD Radeon 660M. Dedicated: NVIDIA GTX 900 Series, AMD Radeon 400 Series, Intel Arc A-Series
- Storage SSD with 20 GB free
- Network 8 Mbit/s connection for multiplayer (UDP/QUIC compatible)
Recording and streamer recommendations – 1440p at 60 FPS
- OS 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809) or Windows 11
- CPU Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 9 3800X (or equivalent)
- RAM 32 GB
- GPU NVIDIA RTX 30 Series, AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series, or Intel Arc A-series
- Storage NVMe SSD with at least 10 percent free or 50 GB free recommended; use a separate drive for video recording for best results
The developer notes newer cards produce much better video quality for a given bitrate and recommends AV1 or HEVC where supported. An internal benchmark listed a rig with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and an NVIDIA RTX 5080 with 2×32 GB DDR5-6000 sustaining around 400 FPS at 3840 by 1440 with an extended view distance while recording in AV1, a datapoint aimed at creators chasing very high frame rates.
Storage and saved data
Installation size is listed at 8 GB. Saved game data scales with exploration. The publisher reports about 661 MB for a 5000 by 5000 block area and roughly 27 KB per 32 by 32 chunk, reflecting Hytale’s procedurally generated world growth. For background on the Early Access date and the team’s messaging around the build, see our report on the Early Access date and the owner’s comments. Close background applications and lower view distance to improve performance on weaker hardware rather than relying on default multitasking settings. If you plan to stream or record, budget for faster storage and more RAM than the Recommended tier to avoid frame drops during capture and simultaneous simulation of server-side activity in singleplayer.
