Hunt: Showdown 1896 Reveals Exciting UI Improvements

Get ready for a smoother experience with new UI updates in Hunt: Showdown 1896!

There’s a storm brewing, and it’s all about those much-anticipated UI improvements coming to Hunt: Showdown 1896. The developers have listened to your feedback since launch and are making major changes that could transform how you play.

The team behind this chilling shooter has recognized that their recent UI redesigns didn’t quite hit the mark, especially for PC players like us. It seems they were trying to make things better for console users but ended up complicating things for everyone else. No worries, though, they’re on it!

Loadouts Redesign

The loadout screen is getting a serious makeover! Here’s how they’re planning to make it easier:

  • Custom loadouts will return to a vertical list, showing off 10 setups at once.
  • You’ll see custom and Hunter loadouts side-by-side—no more memory strain!
  • Selecting and overwriting loadouts will be clearer than ever.
  • The Gear screen will display the name of the loadout being edited, so you won’t get lost mid-game.
  • A “Loadouts” tab is being added for quicker access right from the lobby.

Team Details

The Team Details screen will also see some love. Check out these updates:

  • The number of teams displayed will increase—more info at your fingertips!
  • A three-color icon system will clarify actions (Gold for your moves, Blue for teammates, Red for enemies).
  • Items with multiple instances will now show numbers and tooltips—goodbye confusion!
  • The Legend moves to the actions menu, keeping your view clear.
  • Timelines for all teams toggle open simultaneously; no more clicking one by one!

Post-Mission Summary

This part is super exciting! After a mission, you’ll finally see Accolades return with animations celebrating your achievements. Plus:

  • A Mission Stats screen and Weekly Challenge progression follow right after.
  • Sub-menus are being consolidated into tabs at the top to keep everything neat!

Pause Menu Enhancements

No more pause panic! The game stays visible when you hit pause—keeping that situational awareness alive! Your team’s loadouts will be front and center too.

Equipment Skin Selection & More Updates

The devs are also addressing skin selection frustrations by bringing it directly into the Equipment Grid—yay! Here’s what else we can look forward to:

    • Integrated Skin Selection: Toggle through owned Skins right within the Equipment Grid.

    • Future Enhancements: Improvements coming for Charms and Equipment Animations later on.

    • Recruit Free Hunters: You can now see all four Hunters’ loadouts at once—so much easier!

Lobby Improvements & Visual Changes Ahead

Additions here include new matchmaking options in Duos and better party management features. Based on your feedback, they’re working hard! Also, visual improvements are coming our way, with better lighting on equipment and refined rarity displays that align nicely with Hunt’s aesthetic.

If you’re curious about every detail from this update, check out the full breakdown on Steam’s official page here.

This update shows how committed they are to making Hunt: Showdown 1896 an even better experience. What do you think about these changes? Are there any adjustments you wish they would consider next? Let me know below!
