Hozy Will Bring No-Pressure Room Makeovers to PS5 on November 9

Its nine-level story pairs curated furniture sets with DualSense haptics, followed by Game+ room variations and a freeform sandbox.

Hozy will bring no-score, no-timer home restoration to PS5 on November 9, turning everyday jobs like mopping and pulling up floorboards into the heart of a relaxed room makeover. PlayStation’s November 6 announcement details a nine-level story, followed by ways to keep reworking the homes at your own pace.

Each level has its own atmosphere and story. Players clean and renovate a space, then furnish it from a curated set of furniture and decor rather than sorting through an endless catalog. Small interactions add life to the rooms: open a window to stir the dust, switch on a lamp for a reading nook, play the piano, or look through drawers for secret messages.

Tools and rooms respond to every touch

Hozy is built around the feel and sound of its restoration tools. The DualSense controller’s haptics will distinguish actions such as sliding a mop across the floor, while its adaptive triggers add resistance as a crowbar pries up floorboards. The controller speaker will play extra sounds from the tools in use.

Objects and surfaces each have their own sounds, and the music changes as players make progress through a level. The result ties the renovation to the room’s soundscape, not just its appearance.

Game+ and Sandbox keep the rooms open

After completing the story, players can return to the restored homes in Game+ and see alternate versions of those rooms. The mode allows changes between day and night and offers different furniture sets, with some layouts transforming dramatically.

Sandbox mode takes away the curated limits, opening the full item collection for rearranging, duplicating, and customizing rooms. Players can change details such as wallpaper, background colors, window shapes, support beams, and light switches.

Hozy will support 11 languages and include visual and control settings, including tool movement speed, camera inversion, and color-display adjustments. The game will also be playable on PlayStation Portal. Looking further ahead, the developers plan seasonal events and both free and paid DLC.

Which part of making a room your own sounds best to you, the responsive tools, the changing soundscape, or the freedom to decorate in Sandbox? Keep up with Hozy’s sensory details and planned seasonal content on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
