To sweeten the transition, all PlayStation players will receive a redemption code for 320 Geode of Replication crystals, one of the new currencies tied to the mode. That incentive is aimed squarely at easing the switch for anyone still on older hardware. Publishers have been feeling the pressure of PS5’s still-high hardware prices for a while, and some third-party studios have raised concerns about a split player base limiting next-gen adoption.
