How to find the boss portal in Megabonk?

Megabonk’s boss portal spawns randomly, but telltale gusts of wind point the way and the mini-map will mark it once discovered.

Megabonk throws you into runs that feel chaotic and random, yet the game gives you one reliable clue when a boss portal is nearby, if you know where to look. Follow the wind and you’ll stop wandering the map like a lost NPC.

How To Find The Boss Portal In Megabonk

The boss portal’s location is random each run, and the game doesn’t point it out with arrows or flashy UI. Instead, scan the ground for gusts of wind. Most gusts are white and easy to miss if you’re tunnel-visioning on mobs and loot. If that’s hard for you. I’d tell you to clear the edge of the map, and if you don’t find anything, then you head towards the middle of the map. Finding the portal should be simpler than usual, and I know that there are plenty of you there who are still struggling to find the boss portal.

When a gust turns red, you’re on the right track. That red gust marks the area around the boss portal. That’s it. No special activation, no hidden meter to grind. Follow the gusts of wind and you’ll find the boss portal, even though it can spawn anywhere on the map, and yes, sometimes it spawns right next to your spawn point.

If you find the portal with time to spare, keep exploring to level up and collect more potent weapons and tomes. Once discovered, the portal will appear on your mini-map if you stray too far, so you can prep before the fight.
