House Flipper 2 is celebrating its seventh anniversary with a free co-op DLC that lets you and up to three friends renovate houses together in real time. The update is cross-platform, so players on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation can join regardless of their system.
Alongside the co-op launch, the game is free on Steam for a limited time, allowing everyone to try it out. The co-op expansion includes four new properties explicitly designed for multiplayer, including a charming row of four beach bungalows—one for each player to customize. You might even have a friendly contest to see whose bungalow is the cutest.
The co-op DLC works with the entire base game, including sandbox mode, and supports the extensive collection of player-created house designs available on mod.io. While it’s unusual that this free update is offered as separate DLC rather than a patch, it’s certainly a welcome addition.
House Flipper 2 initially launched in 2023 and was praised for its cozy, casual approach to renovation. Reviewer Tom Sykes gave it an 81% score, noting that it strikes a nice balance between detail and accessibility, making the renovation process feel comfortable rather than overwhelming.
Since rits elease, the game has received several content updates, including one that added over 150 new decorative items like towels, moss, and weeds. There’s also a playful “The Floor is Lava” mode that surprisingly isn’t an April Fools’ joke, despite launching on April 1.
You can find the House Flipper 2 Co-op DLC on Steam. The base game is free to try until May 18 and is currently 35% off until May 29.
