Milestone has officially released Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. Available across a range of platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch, the game promises a lot of new elements that make it stand out from its predecessor.
The game comes packed with over 130 different vehicles, expanding the line-up to include not just cars but also ATVs, motorcycles, and other new classes of vehicles. This gives players a wider choice and more ways to enjoy the game.
In addition, the game introduces five new racing settings that add variety to the gameplay. Players can now race in an Arcade room, an updated Backyard area, a Mini Golf Course with a Wild West theme, a Dinosaur Museum, and a Gas Station that includes a diner. Each setting has its own unique features and challenges that will keep players engaged.
The new skill tree system allows players to earn skill points by participating in races. These points can be invested in one of three branches that improve different abilities, such as boost capabilities, handling, or obstacle navigation. This adds an extra layer of strategy to the game, letting players customize their experience.
The game also adds the ability to perform single and double jumps as well as a new lateral dash, enriching the gameplay and offering more opportunities for skilled maneuvers.
Milestone has quite a bit of additional content in the pipeline for Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, as outlined in a roadmap shared last month. While specifics were not revealed, we can expect new vehicles and settings to keep the game interesting in the long term.
