Horizon Zero Dawn Patch 1.07 is live, a handful of graphical issues have been fixed

Guerilla Games have just released the newest patch for Horizon Zero Dawn, aiming to fix a few graphical problems. They’ve also addressed some known issues that they will settle in the future. One of the now-fixed issues was Anisotropic Filtering, which caused a few problems for players. According to Guerilla, this means that upon starting the game, it will begin to optimize shaders in the Main Menu each time. Shaders will also still be optimized during gameplay, but this now happens automatically in the background.

Known Issues

  • CPUs that have more than 16 cores might experience a higher amount of instability.
  • Some players are experiencing graphical settings issues, such as HDR not working correctly.
  • Some players are experiencing performance issues on specific GPUs or hardware combinations.
  • We’re aware of and continue to investigate issues that are not yet solved on both the player-compiled lists by u/EvilMonkeySlayer and u/Rampage572.

Patch Notes:

Graphical Improvements

  • Anisotropic Filtering now works correctly.
  • The mandatory/unskippable shader optimization step at the first launch has been removed.
  • Shaders are now pre-optimized in the game’s Main Menu but can be skipped.
  • Shaders are also optimized dynamically in-game
