Horizon Forbidden West Delayed to 2022

Players will probably have to wait a bit longer until they jump into Aloy’s boots in the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West. Sony has discovered that Horizon Zero Dawn’s sequel will be delayed until the first quarter of 2022, missing its original Holiday 2021 release window. The sequel was planned for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Bloomberg News first reported the delay. The sequel to the critically acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn has been postponed due to multiple factors. One of them is the impact of the Pandemic Covid-19, which has strained developers to be working from home. Such a delay cannot be considered a surprise, as multiple other major titles have followed the same route.

For example, God of War’s sequel had also pushed its release date to 2022 for the very same reason. Guerilla Games have recently revealed 14-minute gameplay of Horizon Zero Dawn. Guerilla Games have undoubtedly been working hard to develop a beautiful and distinct third-person action role-playing experience from the game’s predecessor.

Sadly, until we get to play Aloy, the young huntress from the Nora tribe, we will have to wait a bit longer. This Horizon Zero Dawn sequel is supposed to include important inventions, as Aloy’s story is planned to continue in much more trembling encounters in Horizon Forbidden West.
