Tango Gameworks pushed Hi‑Fi Rush update, replacing in-game branding with Krafton logos and removing Denuvo from the PC build. The patch does not add playable content but signals an ownership change now visible inside the game. The build swaps out a number of publisher and splash-screen assets to show Krafton, and Tango Gameworks has also shipped a new studio splash that still uses a Tango logo variant.
PC players get the biggest technical change: Denuvo support is removed, though the developer says the game will retain its own anti-tampering features. Players must install this update by January 16, 2026 at 00:00 (KST) or the game will not run. Steam community discussions from Tango Gameworks are available on the official Steam thread. A recent feature about Hytale’s Early Access messaging shows how ownership and release messaging can change community expectations, and Hi‑Fi Rush’s new build looks like the first step in Krafton’s longer-term plans for the IP.
Patch Notes – Hi-Fi Rush
All Platform
- A whole bunch of housekeeping to deal with the surprisingly complicated transition of publishers. Mostly consisting of inserting KRAFTON into a plethora of locations to the game.
- This also includes a brand new new Tango Gameworks logo in the splash screen! But rest assured, no playable content was removed or altered.
- In-game content and messages about corporate policy and creativity left unaltered in order to preserve ominous telling of the future and reinforce themes.
PC
- While a form of copy protection is still present in the game, Denuvo is now removed. As always, please support our games through legal means so we can continue to make cool things for you!
*Because of this major change in architecture, this patch MUST be downloaded to play the game after midnight at the start of January 16, 2026 (KST)! An unpatched version of the game will be unplayable at that point, so please be aware of this deadline.*
Notice on Upcoming Denuvo Removal
Denuvo support for the PC version of Hi-Fi RUSH is scheduled to end at 00:00(KST) on January 16, 2026. Please note that even after Denuvo is removed, the game’s own anti-tampering features will remain active and will not affect normal gameplay. This adjustment is intended to provide a more stable and efficient service environment. We sincerely appreciate all players who continue to support the game through legitimate use.
Mandatory Patch Notice
Due to this update, the internal system structure of the game will undergo significant changes. As a result, all PC players will be required to install the latest patch.
- Patch required by: January 16, 2026, 00:00 (KST)
- Important: After this time, the game will not run unless the patch has been installed.
Moreover, Tango Gameworks hints that this might not be the final patch for the game! No other details were shared, but that alone should make fans excited at what’s to come.
