Hello Kitty Island Adventure is hosting the Month of Meh event, a quirky celebration centered around Gudetama, the famously lazy egg character. This month-long event invites players to snap photos with a peculiar man dressed as an egg and collect special rewards by completing tasks across Friendship Island.
The event runs until May 31, giving plenty of time to gather exclusive items. Players collect Yolks by taking photos with Nisetama, the egg-costumed man who appears once daily at random spots. His location is marked on the map, or you can ask the egg shrine for hints if you’re having trouble finding him. One photo nets you seven Yolks, which you can trade at the Gudetama egg shrine for rewards.
Besides the photo challenge, the island is dotted with giant eggs you can break open. These yield whole eggs used in recipes or for trading with characters like Tuxedo Sam and My Melody, unlocking even more event-exclusive goodies.
If you prefer to keep your island life simple, you can skip the event without missing much. Apart from a few cutscenes, a giant golden Gudetama shrine in the plaza, and the scattered giant eggs, the event is easy to ignore. But honestly, who wouldn’t want to take selfies with a strange man in a yellow morphsuit? It’s a hilarious and oddly charming addition to the Hello Kitty world.
