Helldivers 2’s Liberty Day celebration brings temporary decorations to Super Destroyers, with a new rifle gift scheduled for the end of October 26. The PlayStation Blog’s Liberty Day announcement says eligible players will receive the AR-23L Liberator Legacy at 23:59 CET.

Banners, rugs, party supplies and other decorations mark the 24-hour celebration aboard players’ ships. The Liberator Legacy, modeled after weapons from the First Galactic War, is this year’s in-game gift. To qualify, players must have played Helldivers 2 at some point since 00:00 CET on September 26, 2026.

Four community minigames are also returning. Minidivers has players send emoji stratagem codes to stop enemy waves, while Adopt-a-SEAF lets participants care for a blueberry and send them on missions. Oath of Enlistment gives players a copy of their oath, and Raise the Flag brings participants together to salute in chat. Minidivers, Oath of Enlistment and Raise the Flag are available only to members of the official Discord server.

Helldivers 2 is a cooperative third-person shooter in which squads of up to four players are deployed from orbit onto hostile planets to complete strategic missions. Players select loadouts of weapons, armor, and stratagems that allow them to call in orbital strikes, supply drops, vehicles, and turrets during combat. Friendly fire is always active, requiring coordination between teammates. The game features a persistent galactic war where community-wide performance determines which planets are liberated or lost.
