It appears that Helldivers 2 is still on the rise, as its sales have doubled in the US. Arrowhead Game Studios has already reported that the player base may increase to hit the maximum cap for which there will be a server queue.
Helldivers 2 increased its sales volume outside of holiday sales, which is quite surprising. Despite the server and connectivity issues, its gameplay and mechanics were exciting for the community. On the other side, the developer is transparent, speaks about its problems and upcoming fixes, and even warns of a potential error or dire outcome ahead of happening, which is why it’s playing a crucial role in the rise of sales.
Over on X, Mat Piscatella, a known Circana analyst, has revealed that Helldivers 2’s combined physical and digital sales were super high during its second week. This is where streamers and content creators helped the game propel in the right direction.
US combined phys & dig dollar sales of Helldivers II during its second week in market more than doubled launch week volume. Inverse decays are rare, this large a week 2 jump even moreso, especially outside the holiday window. Great stuff. Source: Circana Retail Tracking Service.
