Rogue Factor just dropped the official PC requirements for their upcoming third-person action-adventure game, Hell is Us. Heads up, this one’s a beast on Ultra settings! If you want to play at 4K with Ultra details, you’ll need an NVIDIA RTX 4090 to hit 30FPS with DLSS. Let’s unpack what that means for your rig.
For those who don’t know, Hell is Us isn’t trying to be “another Souls game.” Instead, it offers a challenging combat experience that’s tough but fair. You’ll need to master different moves and adapt on the fly, with the help of KAPI, a drone that can distract enemies or trigger special attacks. No quest markers or journals to hold your hand here — it’s all about exploring and uncovering secrets on your own.
Alright, now for the juicy stuff: the PC specs. At minimum, you’ll want an Intel i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X paired with 16GB RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 1070 or AMD RX 5600 XT. This setup will run the game at 1080p/30FPS on Medium settings, with DLSS or FSR upscaling always enabled.
The recommended specs call for an Intel i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600, 16GB RAM, and an NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti or AMD RX 6750 XT. That’ll get you 1080p/60FPS on High settings.
Want to crank it up to 1440p/60FPS with Very High settings? You’ll need an Intel i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600 again, but this time with an NVIDIA RTX 3090 or AMD RX 6900 XTX. And here’s the twist: for 4K Ultra at 30FPS, the game requires an NVIDIA RTX 4090 or AMD RX 7900 XTX.
Somewhat oddly, the devs pair the RTX 4090 with the RX 7900 XTX for the 4K specs, even though the RTX 4090 tends to outperform the RX 7900 XTX in Unreal Engine 5 titles. I’m scratching my head on that one — wouldn’t an NVIDIA RTX 5080 make more sense? Either way, the official demo dropping on June 2nd should give us clearer answers.
