Harbor is getting a full kit overhaul in VALORANT patch 11.10, which is scheduled to go live on November 11. The changes restructure several of his abilities and move his High Tide ability off the signature slot and into the buy menu. The developer post on X outlines practical changes to how Harbor will be played. The kit rewrite focuses on giving Harbor more aggressive and teamfight utility while altering how his crowd control and vision tools are deployed.
Ability changes are below:
- High Tide keeps its current function but is no longer a signature ability. Players will need to buy it.
- Storm Surge replaces Cascade. It can be thrown with the fire button and creates an explosive whirlpool that nearsights and blinds enemies after a short delay.
- Cove can now be placed similarly to Omen’s smokes and the shield can be activated separately from placement.
- Reckoning has been reworked from a circular area to a forward-moving effect. The new ultimate moves forward like the old Cascade and now nearsights and slows enemies.
The official announcement came via the VALORANT account on X and was covered widely, including our earlier write-up on the rework. Community and pro responses note the kit gives Harbor more direct engagement tools while also removing some of the original ult’s information utility. On the roster and comps front, it looks likely Harbor will pair well with Viper again as teams test aggressive setups. Combined with the balance changes from patch 11.08, the rework should push teams into experimenting with how Controllers are deployed in both ranked and pro play.
