The popular, highly anticipated roguelike Hades, by Supergiant Games, caught many indie gamers’ attention when it was in early access. But, after what’s been two years, Hades is officially out today for PC, via EGS and Steam, and Switch! The game is also a critically acclaimed title with a 10/10 score on Steam, 90% from PC Gamer, and 91% from Metacritic.
If you aren’t familiar with Hades, it’s a roguelike action game in which Zagreus, the son of the Greek God Hades, is on a quest to escape from the underworld. However, when he gets defeated on his journey, Zagreus is teleported to his father’s chambers, starting all over again. There will also be more Greek Gods that will help Zagreus on his journey, like Zeus, Athena, Ares, etc. He’ll encounter several monsters, from which many are also included in Greek mythology, like the Hydra.
Originally, Hades was supposed to support cross-save between PC and Switch, but the devs have delayed that later. Today, finally, Hades v1.0 has been released along with a trailer:
