Hades is inching closer to its full release, and this final Early Access patch is packed with all sorts of changes that might not seem huge at first glance but could seriously impact your runs. If you’ve been grinding through the underworld, you’ll want to know what’s shifting before the big v1.0 launch.
General Gameplay
- Heads up: when the True Ending and story sequences drop, your current Zodiac Sand and Void Lens will convert into Prestige automatically. You can still collect them for now.
Nocturnal Arms & Abilities
- Umbral Flames: Special projectile size and orbit speed increased.
- Moonstone Axe: Attack sequence damage bumped up.
- Black Coat: Blocking while channeling Omega Attack feels more responsive.
Aspects of the Nocturnal Arms
- Sister Blades (Artemis): Riposte recharge time reduced so you can use it more often.
- Umbral Flames (Melinoë): Critical damage chance increased.
- Umbral Flames (Eos): Special no longer cancels other Specials; Daybreaker projectile tracks better.
- Moonstone Axe (Thanatos): Critical chance ramps up faster and has a higher cap.
- Witch’s Staff (Anubis): Omega Special costs more Magick.
- Umbral Flames (Supay): Special reworked to fire a second projectile, attack timings changed, no more staggering foes, Rush Boon damage bonus reduced, but it breaks Urns easier.
- Black Coat (Shiva): Omega Special now bounces multiple times but with reduced Destructive damage bonus.
Boons & Blessings
- Storm Ring (Zeus) and Arc Flash (Zeus): Damage increased.
- Tidal Ring (Poseidon) and High Surf (Poseidon): Damage and area of effect reduced.
- Solar Ring (Apollo): Damage increased.
- Hephaestus: Blast effect damage increased; Glow bonus from Rarity increased.
- Tough Gain (Hephaestus): Activates even if protected by Paid Dues (Hermes).
- Molten Touch (Hephaestus): More damage to Armor and better bonus from Poms of Power.
- Heat Rush (Hestia): Damage trail duration slightly reduced.
- Ares: Plasma speed bonus capped at 100% to avoid issues.
- Golden Rule (Hera x Poseidon): Removed and replaced by Ripple Effect, which lets effects from Fine Line and Ocean Swell sometimes fire twice.
- Seismic Hammer (Poseidon x Hephaestus): Cut and replaced by Seismic Servo that speeds up Boon recharge.
- Room Temperature (Demeter x Hephaestus): Removed and replaced by Cryo Pounder, boosting Hephaestus blasts on Freeze-afflicted enemies.
- Rude Awakening (Apollo x Hephaestus): Bonus damage increased.
- Chain Reaction (Hephaestus x Hestia): Double Blast timing window expanded.
- Travel Deal (Hermes): Gold discount reduced.
- Harm for the Afflicted and Suffering on Sight (Medea): Damage frequency and average damage increased.
- Old Herbal Remedy (Circe): Fixed interaction with Vow of Scars.
- Protective Coating (Icarus) and Volatile Coating (Icarus): Armor and blast damage increased.
Daedalus Hammer Upgrades
- Inverted Spark (Flames): Works better with more Aspects.
- Helheim Charge (Skull): Omega Attack fires an extra time.
- Chakra Collider (Skull): Power Shot timing window increased.
- Awakened Rockets (Coat): Magick cost increased.
Hexes & Path of Stars
- Hexes: Most have quicker startup, making them feel snappier.
- Godsent upgrades can appear on multiple uses of Path of Stars if you meet requirements.
- Confluence (Night Bloom): Raised servants now appear during Casts, not after Sprint.
- Gamepad users get better menu navigation on Path of Stars.
Keepsakes
- Olympian Keepsakes, like Cloud Bangle (Zeus), activate more reliably in Thessaly.
- Ghost Onion: Restorative effect no longer reduced by Vow of Scars.
- Crystal Figurine: Activates an extra random Arcana Card.
Animal Familiars
- Toula the Cat: Gets speed, accuracy, and active time boosts; less likely to get stuck.
- Attending a Faithful Beast (Cauldron) and its bonuses removed.
Foes & Dangers
- Fewer foes in Olympus, Summit, and Icarus encounters.
- Moon Monument foes get more Armor in later regions.
- Typhon: Main eye blast slower and weaker; cyclone attacks less frequent.
- Prometheus: Uppercut tracking slower.
- Unrivaled Cerberus: No more magma drops on attacks.
- Unrivaled Scylla: Fires fewer projectiles.
- Unrivaled Hecate: Fixed issue making her easier to spot.
- Master-Slicer (Erebus): Less Life.
- Lurker (Oceanus): Blocking attacks with Black Coat more reliable.
- Shellback (Oceanus): Elite shoots a larger bouncing projectile instead of triple-shot.
- Several other enemy tweaks to attacks, speed, and appearance rates across regions.
Level Design & Environments
- More cover spots added in Olympus to avoid enemy fire.
- Improved pathing and collision in various locations.
Book of Shadows
- Path of Stars upgrades for Selene sort better after Insight Into Offerings Incantation.

- Visual effects for strikes and abilities adjusted for clearer combat visuals.
